MOTHERS’ UNION

HARTING BRANCH

There has been a Mothers’ Union Branch in Harting for over 80 years, indeed records show that in 1939 there were 29 members.  It carried on through the War with quite meticulous records of membership and activities. In 1955 our Banner, to be seen in the South Transept in Church, was made by a lady in East Harting and has featured in numerous MU services.

In 2021 Mothers’ Union celebrated 145 years and over the years it is noticeable how regularly the MU has developed, transformed and adapted, indeed today it continues to do so. We help maintain a worldwide fellowship of Christians, united in prayer, worship, and service, to support marriage and all forms of family life and giving help wherever needed. Harting Mothers’ Union meet regularly in the Parish Church, where we catch up with one another and plan future events, including raising money both for our Branch and projects in the Diocese.

Do come along to a meeting to find out more about what we do, you will be most welcome.
